Instructions

Assignment Description:

The point of this assignment is to research an aspect of Roman society that you are interested in. You have the opportunity to choose what you would like to research. Your choice must be approved by Mr. Brown.

Philosophy behind this assignment:

Students rarely have the opportunity to freely choose what they’d like to study. So, with this assignment, the students can select an area (within Roman society) that they can learn more about. Since the students are selecting an area of their interest, they should dive into this assignment.

Research:

Students can only use library databases for their research. They can’t just use google for research.

Students must accurately cite their sources.

Presentation:

The students will use Screencastify to record their presentations. The students will submit their presentations to Mr. Brown before class on Tuesday, October 12th.

The students should create a Google slide presentation. They should put their research in their own words (no copying and pasting). The students should use proper grammar on their slides.

Classwork:

Students will have three class periods to work on this assignment. They should use their time wisely. Students should also work on their assignment outside of class.
