Resources

Slide 1: Group Member names, homeroom, date

Slide 2: Character cards: Your character card should include your character’s name, short biographical information and their role in the Crusade. You need at least 3 character cards. Characters can also be a collective group of people (i.e. The Teutonic Knights).

Slide 3: Starting point: Your starting point should set the scene for your game. It should tell the story of what is happening in the region before your Crusade and why your characters are embarking on this Crusade.

Slide 4-13: Spaces: You need at least 10 spaces on your board game. They can be filled with good things (ex: You learned to get along with your Muslim neighbors, advance 3 spaces) or bad things (You run out of water on the long march and die of dehydration. Return to the start)

Slide 14: End point: Your end point should have a true accounting of the outcome of your Crusade.

Slide 15: This is a map of the crusades. When you are ready to make your board game, tape your poster board to the whiteboard. Ask a teacher to project the map. Trace the map AND ONLY your crusade's route
